When it comes to the star of the show, the tamales, there is no shortage of praise. According to Jeffery Comer, the unique flavors are simply amazing. Each bite offers a burst of authenticity that takes you straight to the heart of Mexican tradition. While some reviews, like that of Juan Mata, noted the tamales might be slightly salty, a generous dollop of salsa transforms them into an absolute delight. The kitchen's commitment to quality ensures that whether you choose chicken or pork, you’ll enjoy a moist and flavorful experience.
Another highlight worth mentioning is the value for money. As James Humble-Sanchez pointed out, the prices are fair, especially for such satisfying fare. This makes The Tamale Factory a fantastic option for those casual outings where you crave something both delicious and budget-friendly.

“ Place is actually pretty nice and clean the tamales were a bit salty but nithhing some salsa wont fix. Highly recomend coming here ”
“ It was a quiet Saturday morning, the food was good, the price was fair, and the ambience was okay. I would definitely eat there again, but it's not as bougie as other places. But then again the price point was better than most places open at that time. ”
“ Oh my!!! The best tacos!! Loved the pineapple spinach drink, layered cheese enchilada, flautas, and tamale. Patio dining, clean, friendly and attentive. Very happy to stumble across. ”
“ We ended up here after visiting the Mission Christmas lights. Not impressed with the lights at the Mission. However, we were walking around the area and found this place. The chicken and pork tamales were quite delicious. Moist. Very tasty. I LOVED the beans and rice. Just like I would make at home. Very tasty. Although the Mission Christmas lights were a loss IMHO, this restaurant made the night. ”
“ The Tamale Factory is hands down the best place to get tamales in Riverside! The owners are incredibly welcoming, and Jesse, in particular, makes every visit feel special—he’s friendly, knowledgeable, and just a great person to chat with. If you haven’t tried their sweet corn tamale with green sauce, you’re seriously missing out. It’s my go-to every time! And don’t leave without getting their cilantro avocado sauce—it’s the perfect complement to any dish. One of the coolest things about this place is the event space above the restaurant. If you get the chance, book a spot on the balcony during the Festival of Lights—the atmosphere and view are absolutely stunning. Whether you’re a local or visiting, this is a must-visit spot in Riverside. One of my favorite restaurants. ”
“ What a beautiful place, kind people and delicious breakfast burritos! ”
“ Delicious food, competition prices, quick and personalized service, friendly staff and environment, and conveniently located. Highly recommend! PS the women's restroom was beautifully decorated, which is unusual and why I mention it. ”
